The classic BVI day

This is the tour to take if you want the best snorkelling in the islands and a beach to dry off on afterwards. We start at Cooper Island, run past Salt and Peter Island with pirate stories from your captain, snorkel the caves and The Indians, and finish on Norman Island with lunch at Pirates Bight and a stop at the floating Willy T.

We pass both on the way south while your captain tells the pirate stories and local history behind them.

Two of the best snorkel sites in the BVI: sea caves cut into the rock and a cluster of pinnacles alive with fish.

Relax on the beach, snorkel off it, or grab lunch and a drink at the Pirates Bight restaurant and bar.

The famous floating bar. Have a drink, and walk the plank if you dare.

How long is this tour?

It runs about seven hours. Departure is a morning start, confirmed when you book, and we always allow for the weather and the sea. The route on the day can change with the weather and sea state. Your captain decides what is safe and fun.

What does it cost, and is that per person?

$1,600 for the whole boat, up to 12 guests, all inclusive. The captain, fuel, permits, snorkel gear and the cooler are all in the price. A deposit confirms your date and the balance is paid on the day.

Who is this tour best for?

Snorkellers, couples, groups who want beach time. The whole boat is private to your group, so the day shapes itself around you.

Is lunch included?

No. We stop where the good food is, such as Pirates Bight on Norman Island, Saba Rock or the Bitter End in North Sound, or Foxy's on Jost Van Dyke, and you pay your own. Drinks on the boat are included.

Do we need to be strong swimmers?

Not to enjoy the day. Getting into The Baths means a swim of about 100 yards each way, so that one stop asks for confidence in the water. Float noodles and life jackets are on board, and nobody has to get in: plenty of guests stay aboard and enjoy the view.

Is gratuity included?

No. Gratuity is at your discretion, and 15 to 20% in cash is customary and much appreciated by the captain.

What if we have to cancel?

Cancel 14 or more days before your tour and you are refunded in full. Inside that, the deposit is kept. If something outside your control gets in the way, such as weather, a travel delay or a change to your ship's schedule, you are refunded in full.
